Our manager is the face of our business.

  • They are the person who drives our culture, our approach to fitness and the successful growth of our business.
  • They know all our members by name, spend a lot of their time forming relationships and making people feel welcome stepping inside our gym.
  • They have an unrivalled attention to detail and ability to manage multiple areas of the business at once - from member experience to equipment maintenance, marketing strategies to staff rosters, social media management to ensuring admin tasks are completed.
  • They have a strategic mind - constantly looking for ways to improve our member experience, market ourselves to the local community, create a fun workplace for our team and ultimately drive our business forward.

Our manager is a leader - not just to our team, but to a community of hundreds who call our gym their second home.

Responsibilities will include:

Cultivate a culture:

  • Set the tone for the culture of the club: fun, vibrant, welcoming of all abilities (regardless of whether a member is just starting on their fitness journey and needs lots of support, or a professional athlete).
  • Create a positive and supportive environment to ensure all members feel comfortable and excited to come here.

Lead a team:

  • Ensure our team is engaged, enjoy coming to work and believe in our approach.
  • Organise rosters + conduct regular staff meetings.
  • Recruit, train, motivate and lead a team of staff to manage gym operations and administrative tasks and ultimately grow the business.

Marketing + Sales:

  • Implement systems to generate new members and keep existing members engaged.
  • Build on our network of local stakeholders, including small and medium-sized business, sporting clubs and schools to develop partnerships and reciprocal relationships.
  • Ensure our social channels are engaging, consistent and aligned to our approach.

Facility Operations:

  • Manage day-to-day club operations including overseeing the upkeep of systems that ensure we offer a clean and safe facility.
  • Handle day-to-day communications with members and prospective clients.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in management/assistant management or significant leadership role, preferably in the fitness industry but open to experience in other sectors.
  • You have a strategic mind, constantly looking for ways to improve and grow business and make the customers’ experience better.
  • You are a natural communicator who easily forms relationships with people and exudes a positive, engaging persona. You are okay being front and centre, whether that be in person or on social media.
  • You have attention to detail and an ability to effectively manage your time between multiple competing priorities.
  • Whilst you thrive in a team, you can also work autonomously.
  • You possess a certificate 3 & 4 in fitness or higher.
