A Bit About Me
After many years teaching hight intensity fitness classes, my interests turned to exploring alternatives to mainstream fitness programmes, and with my personal interest in Tai Chi already ensconced into my daily programme, this form of exercise seemed the perfect fit for not only developing a gentle physical exercise programme but also addressing issues of mental health and well-being, particularly within our ageing population.
After completing my first Tai Chi course in 2011, my focus shifted from 'physical' fitness to a more holistic approach to well-being. I have studied under several Masters and after many years of practice, I have been awarded Instructor certificates to teach Weapons, Falls Prevention, Cognitive Health, Yang style and other mainstream tai chi Forms. 2019 I travelled to Beijing to study under Master Yang Bu Ying at the Beijing Sports University and I have recently developed an online learning programme specifically for beginner Tai Chi students.

Just a short note to say how much I am enjoying the online school. I like the way you've set it out with different options for warm ups, standing meditation and Qigong and the verbal informative explanations. It's going be a great tool for planning my classes. Also, I like the way you have limited the standing meditation to just three moves and use the repetition, it's very relaxing. I'm finding its simplicity a good way to ease into practising more difficult forms. I think with your help on zoom, my tai chi has thrived this year.
