Resistance Training Specialist® Level 1

RTS Level 1 is a comprehensive introduction to the RTS curriculum, including online learning and practical workshops.

RTS1 teaches fitness professionals how to continually assess every individual client’s needs, goals and tolerances – and how to design custom-fit exercise programming appropriately.

Students will learn to:

  1. Recognise and debunk resistance training myths, navigating the social media jungle
  2. Balance the risks and benefits of specific exercise
  3. Identify ineffective exercises
  4. Maximise hypertrophy
  5. Choose equipment that produces optimal results
  6. Understand the Functional vs. Traditional training debate. How functional is “functional” training? What does the science say?
  7. Design progressions that add challenge, not merely complexity
