I have been actively participating in Cindy's group training for the last 16 months, and have found her a remarkably effective and friendly trainer. She takes charge of the class in such a way as to promote team effort as well as encouraging each person to their maximum capability, whist still recognising their individual fitness levels and goals. Cindy inspires others by here own determination and her "you can do it" attitude. Last year I broke my hand, and Cindy would always encourage me to keep exercising, and would find ways for me to still be able to participate in the group class in a meaningful way. She leads by example.

Before I started training with Cindy I was sedentary, had lower back problems, and anxiety. I was about to start a new job and wanted to build exercise into my routine. My aim was to improve my mental and physical health and six months on its working! I feel stronger and am pleased to be more active with my children. Having a personal trainer is a partnership, Cindy is a great listener and gets just as much pleasure out of my achievements. I’ve increased my training from 2 to 3 days a week, replacing a session of pilates a week because I find personal training is also more mentally engaging. I leave with a smile on my face, sweat on my brow and feeling good.

I used to train in martial arts and boxing, but as I got into my 30’s my body started to give out. I’d have to leave training for 12 months at a time to let myself heal, and then I’d go back and training would be good for around 5 or 6 months, I’d get my wind back then something would just blow out and stop me from training again. This cycle continued for years until I found myself aged in my 40’s in constant pain. I stopped training and did no exercise for almost a decade. 2 years ago, I was introduced to Cindy, she took the time to understand my history and developed a schedule that would increase my movement, flexibility and health without breaking anything.

This involved unlearning old habits of ‘training to the max’ and learning new ones to do with breathing and proper movement. We’ve also done prehab and rehab work for a knee replacement earlier this year which has helped massively with recovery. As of now, at 54 years of age, I have the following benefits I’ve learnt a lot about the body and movement I’m walking every day I’ve had no injuries from training with Cindy. I’ve lost 25KG and am only 11KG’s from my goal weight I’ve stopped taking blood pressure medication completely I’m reducing my pain medications (which I hardly need now, but the withdrawal effects require a reduction over time)

Cindy is easily the most knowledgable and inspirational trainer I have ever worked with. I carry a lot of chronic injuries and she works with every single one of them and ensures I get the most out of my body in every session. She regresses every exercise to ensure I don't hurt myself, while still challenging me to extend my capabilities. She works alongside me and is never shy to admit when she's hurting too, which is super rare in my experience of trainers. She is compassionate and caring and makes sure no one is left behind in sessions. Basically it is a joy to train with Cindy, even when she's killing me, and I hope to train with her long into the future!!!

My son Thomas has cystic fibrosis and 12 months ago we were at our wits ends to try to get him, then 13 years old, focused on managing this life-limiting chronic illness. We needed someone who would work with Thomas, be willing to gain a background understanding of his CF but not be distracted by it. Enter the fabulous Cindy. At the beginning, she took the time to get to know Thomas but she also took the time to learn what having CF means and specifically understanding Thomas' medical history. Over the year Thomas has thoroughly enjoyed the twice-weekly workouts with Cindy. Cindy has certainly been a major contributor to Thomas’ improved physical health and mental wellbeing.

I was in town only for a brief time, but it was school holidays so Cindy invited me to a class with my children (aged 3 and 5). What fun we had! The kids didn’t even know they were exercising, because it was so much fun - the highlight was the obstacle course full of interesting and challenging physical stations. What a fun, engaging and supportive class, a workout for mum and fun for the kids! A fantastic idea.

I have worked with Cindy for over three years as an NDIS participant. I'm post-Meningococcal Septicaemia with forefoot amputations and removed part of my calf also in the process. When I started with Cindy, I couldn't walk long distances, stand for a long time, and was very unstable on my stumps. I have had a few falls before working with Cindy. We started working on my stability right away, then building up my core strength. Within 12 months, I could feel a difference in my walking & movement. Now I can walk up to 5 km and stand for longer, and my stability has improved. I now have the confidence to go out in the community and not fear falling or walking on uneven surfaces.

I've been watched over by Cindy for the past 4 months and my body has never moved better. Cindy's watchful eye always makes sure that my posture is correct and that I'm not going to hurt myself by doing an exercises incorrectly. The small bespoke group classes are always fun and engaging.
